NSX or 996 here... Probably 3 or 4 years down the line. Of course, this is assuming I'm still single by then

assuming i keep the civic as a beater, make more money and have a place to hide the car, im really looking into an S2000 or an M roadster. if i don't keep the civic then an R32 would be a nice daily driver. of course by the time i start making the money i need for these, im gonna want to buy a house (already sick of flushing money downt the toilet) so that kinda puts a kink in the car buying scheme

Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

An older NSX is definitely in the plans. They can be had for relatively low coin though I shudder at the maintenance costs.
Two feet.
Maybe soon.......

wow that does a decent job of replicating the look of the old challenger, compared to the debacle that is the charger

Do some research on the maintenance cost, its really not that bad except for major jobs (timing belt, clutch).

I keep saying "I'll keep the DSM until I can buy a C5 vette" but we all know that'll never happen.
I have shiney thing syndrome, and long before I have the discipline to actually find and purchase a quality example of a C5 Corvette, I'll have tried to do something (or many, many somethings) crazy.
Like a rotary beetle or a V8 Fiero something stupid like that.
1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442
or
or
in that order as well
the vdub will be used as the beater/hpde/auto-x car in the future

I showed Nick that link last night after seeing it in the "new stuff" section of the all-par forums. That car looks almost exactly like our Challeger. I miss it. After looking at the 07-08-09 model there I called dad and we got to talking about getting it finished again. I'll get some pictures of ours up here soon. I have already told dad I stake claim to the first RT we get.
As for the photoshop thing from Mike - The car has been announced. We know a 2dr version of the LX platform is coming. It is supposed to be a retro throwback Challenger to go after the mustang. Chrysler has told the dealers it will be 08 or 09. If that is the car then I will pee myself. If not then Chrysler should look to this picture and go with it. It will be shorter, sport the 6.1L hemi in the R/T, and have a similar lineup of models to the Charger/300 less the 2.7L v6 option (this is from Chrysler not just the allpar site) and it will be a pure hotness.

The challenger looks horrendous. I hope we can still be friends.
Why not make a 2dr Hemi-Charger with a 6spd?
Two feet.
i'll probably keep the A4 and continue to modify it, hopefully into an occasional track car and daily by the time the resale has crashed.
i'd really like to have an M-coupe (maybe Z4 M coupe?) S4, or older 911 as a toy. that's about as exotic as i'll ever get.

You mom is horrendous too...but its ok...we are still friends   Nah I like it, it looks so much like the originial. The Charger the way it is was a bad idea...but they should have known better. So their only other choice for a retro pony car was the Challenger.
Our car used to look like this. Less the stripe and the shaker hood. Now it is a pile of parts scattered about 3 or 4 different places.
