Ok guys, you all knew it was coming. The pile is for sale. She's been very good to me and I can't say that there is really anything wrong with the car. But, I've already bought the replacement Talon and I just wanted to keep this long enough for Lindsey to take it out on track so that she would become fully addicted(read: last weekend was a success
). I would prefer that this car stays in MM, but I can sell it to anybody without looking back. I have an extremely detailed record (including mileage and date) of everything that has happened with the car since I've bought it, as well as numerous receipts and a Factory Service Manual on CD. Without further ado....
$3500 firm
The Bad\
-the exhaust hits the tow hook. has become more apparent since installing the header, I'm going to try to remedy this soon
-passenger side has a black body, green door, and blue mirror (door requires a seperate key since came from a different car)
-front end has been backed into
-interior has been stripped
-no AC or emissions components are left
-erratic idle
-I removed the intake butterflies when I put the new(er) engine in; car lost some power as a result. I have a spare manifold that can be installed to remedy this.
-152,000 miles means it is not in perfect condition. Don't expect a showcar. Most/all of you have seen the car.
The Good
-1992 300zx TT brakes on all 4 corners with SS braided lines, Superblue brake fluid, and Axxis Ultimates pads. Also comes with stock pads
-comes with an extra set of TT 300zx wheels with fairly fresh Fuzion ZRi tires (225/50/16 front and 245/45/16 rear)
-complete 5-lug conversion using z32 hubs and S14 silvia spindles
-Pacesetter header leading into a 2.5" exhaust, no cat
-KYB AGX shocks with TIEN S-tech springs
-1995 J30 LSD
-USDM sliding seatbelts have been retrofitted to Canadian fixed seatbelts like in nearly every car on the road.
-S14 240sx seats (much better lateral support and better quality fabric)
-Pioneer head unit with box and all literature
-comes with a 300zx TT Brake master cylinder but not installed (larger bore will give better pedal feel)
-Centerforce dual friction clutch (will come with original clutch that I replaced and is not entirely dead)
-car weighs 2677 lbs
-I installed a new(er) engine last spring that came from a 1993 240. This will come with the 1991 cams that came with the original engine; these cams are slightly better than any other year offered from Nissan (according to Rex these are marketed as the Nismo cams now)
-bunch of extra little parts as well
-in the past year it has gotten a new O2 sensor, battery, starter, rear main seal, driver front strut, spark plugs and wires, and windshield wipers. I drive it every day and the only prep I have to do for an autoX or track event is a quick look over to make sure nothing is dangling, loose, or blown; I've put nearly 1000 miles of hard track/autoX laps on it with minimal complaints from the car. It has never failed me, runs terrific, and is a ton of fun to drive. Dynoed recently at 129 hp/132 tq. For a novice at a track event, this car is near perfect. For an advanced level, it is still a ton of fun, but needs a little more power.
It has come a long way since I bought it a year ago, and quite a few members of MM have been involved in its transformation into the animal it is. I'll be sad to see it go, but I think I am being fair in the pricing considering everything that is coming with the car (pretty much anything that I still have related to a 240sx.
