A guy I met down here bought this car this past summer. 36psi. The intake's diameter is like 6". Apparently it's brutal. He wouldn't let me drive it...maybe I'll have to sweet talk him. Something tells me I wouldn't win in a drag race.

But a supra can run a 9 second quarter mile with around 600-700whp if they drive it right. Over 1k is dyno queen territory. Maybe one day he'll surpass the Supra record, which I believe is somewhere in the 1500whp range.

If it has traction. Thats a ton of HP to actually get to the ground. I dunno, its neat and all but its kinda silly. They are great cars even N/A it seems. 300-400hp is usable and reliable I'm sure. But 1000+ is just...well...silly. Can you even drive something like that on the street? I'm sure its laggy as a mo-fo.

LOL!!!! The tona is at full boost under 1500RPM with the mitsu. It dosn't make 1000hp but at least it is peppy on the street

Dyno queen? pretty much. However, it does get driven, and it does have a drag history apparently. The guy that I know bought it from Garth. He just wanted to show-ready car, not into doing it himself I guess. But it goes well with his M5 and his F350 in the garage. <sigh>

It all comes down to area under the curve.
If you hit 1200 hp for 300rpm (with an almost vertical plot), its a lot slower than putting out 800 hp for 3000 rpm

considering the motor in question, i kinda doubt it is a peaky curve.
