We decided to add some interest to this event by giving it a college theme. Here are the rules for the college competition. MM is one of the state's premier college car clubs, I hope a bunch of you can participate.
Please PM me if you have questions. College Autocross The idea is to have a ÔÇ£competition within a competitionÔÇØ at a BRR autocross by letting entrants organize into teams based on colleges and universities in the area. The scoring for the college competition will be mined from the normal autocross results. Anyone is allowed to compete in the college competition. Simply select a school to run for and tell the registrar when you pay your entry fee. Wearing college apparel is not required but, is highly encouraged. You might also want some sort of sticker or decal for your car. Each team shall have a minimum of 5 competitors. If a school has fewer than 5 drivers, smaller teams may be combined to create a team of 5 or more. There is no limit on what class each of the cars may run in. Scoring for the college competition is determined by PAX and Raw time and is independent of class position. After all runs have taken place, each driverÔÇÖs best run will be compiled into two lists of final results, one list determined by PAX time, one list by Raw time. The top 5 times from drivers of each school shall be averaged both for PAX and for Raw. The fastest time in each wins the PAX and Raw awards. The overall winner will be determined by a points system. Each team will get points for their finishing place in Raw and in PAX which are added together for a final score. The lowest score wins the overall competition. First place in PAX receives 1 point, second receives 2 points, etc. For the Raw time first place receives 1.5 points, second receives 3 points, third 4.5, fourth 6, and so on; in other words 1.5 times the finishing place. There will be awards for overall team winner, PAX time winner, Raw time winner, fastest individual PAX time, and fastest individual Raw time.

I remember Mike (mpg9999) talking about it. If there wasn't a NASA event that weekend i'm sure a lot of us would love to participate :? . Regardless though anyone who isn't working/spectating/driving in the NASA event should do this, it's about 20 minutes away from JMU which is a MUCH shorter commute than most of the people that will be attending will take.
Everyone that's new or wants to get into the scene i recommend going to this event, you can't really hurt your car on this track it's small and lower speed. If you have the weekend free (studying is NOT an excuse ) do it.

Believe us we've tried, i think it would be cool as hell. I know Radford does it and i *believe* jmu allowed MM a while ago (og's chime in). the convo lot if i'm correct?

Have we tried since the first and only on campus autox? Not that I would want to..... what a debacle. We could host another one.... just not on JMU campus. We could get nasa to sanction it again, most likely.
