broke the 3 dollar barrier down here today. apparently some idiotic fool on the news, and then the mayor, hyped up something about the supply of fuel in GA being at risk from the hurricane, so right now there are lines into the street at gas pumps. the pumps were supposed to have been shut down at 4 but i don't know whats up right now.

i pay about $35 for 93 for the STi maybe once a week. its really not too bad for me paying an extra ~$20 a month for gas.

boycotting gas stations is retarded because many stations are locally owned and operated (sorta like a franchise) which means you're essentially hurting the gas attendants not the big corporations. besides, our personal automobiles are only a small slice of the pie for gas consumption. i think much more fuel is consumed for trucks which transport pretty much anything and everything we buy and planes at airports.

i think with all the hype saying gas prices are gonna go up, the big petrol companies are retarded if they dont raise prices. its not like we're not gonna consume gas anymore and refinery output is at an alltime high. if people brace themselves to spend more then why wouldnt a company raise prices from a business standpoint?

I usually run my car down to having about 3/4 of a tank and fill up. Used to cost about $6 a week, now it costs about $8 a week. 23mpg/29mpg in a Supra isn't bad at all.
