No more NSX.

So sad. It says honda is working on a replacement which will showcase honda's "most advanced technology." Meaning, it will be hybrid, impossible to work on, and even more prohibitively expensive.

Oh well. The only Honda product I ever respected isn't being made anymore. Such is the way of things.

You know what I'd like to see? Something designed, specifically, to be worked on and modified. I don't mean blingy ricey shit like the Scionoyota line, but something that is generally put together well to be worked on with basic hand tools. Sell it underpowered and with decent handling and let us do the rest. Lawyers would never allow it, but it's a nice dream.

Oh, and Clicky-Pow

so sad to see cars like this end production. Wonder what Honda's "new car" will be like.

The NSX was a beautiful vehicle, too bad it is gone.

i'm hoping if they ever bring back the new CRX it turns out like this. smaller than the new civics coming out, with the old civic's double wishbone suspension (wishful thinking, it'll have struts), and de-bored version of the K series or something like that. and under 2800 pounds.

that would be pretty freakin cool and get hondas game together in the sport compact market since the current Si is a total letdown.

but back to the subject....i'll miss the NSeX. even though it was "slow" for its class it always struck me as a car that was far more than the sum of it's parts.

Honda's CEO has said the next NSX will not be a hybrid due to the IMA drivetrain being too heavy and not to the level where it could perform transparently in a high performance application. At one time they said one of the design goals of the next NSX was to get it equal or lower in weight to the NSX-R II. That would be around 2800 lbs. Highly unlikely they could do that and make the car a hybrid.

whatever they do, I don't care, they screwed it up anyway when they lost the flip up headlights. Sad I do like the idea of it being even lighter though, hardly anyone goes in that direction...

I like the NSX, but its about 5 years overdue for a new car.

And I agree, the fixed headlights are hideous.

From the horse's[CEO] mouth, the engine for the new NSX will be...a V10

Under 2800 pounds? Sounds like somebody's bitter about not getting the Lotus contract....

Actually they turned it down for some stupid reason. That's the second time Honda missed out on the opportunity to supply an engine for an incredible sportscar...can anyone guess what was the first?

Yeah, I don't remember what the reason was... but it was lame as shit.

I'd be bitter and kicking myself in the nuts for that.

.... M? For Miata? I'm lost.
