lol man... that video's hilarious, I just read about this thing the other day, anyone done it? I love how the ESRB (or whatever the hell the name is) is pissed at them, but that's an interesting point I guess. Should a developer be responsible if someone can easily mod their game to make it much more graphic than intended? Obviously they left it in there hoping someone would find it (or maybe even leaked that info), but hey, THAT isn't the GAME that was released. :lol:

No way its ESRB's fault. They cannot be expected to exhaustively test and try to crack a videogame to find every little nook and cranny of code in there. It takes exponentially longer to try to find stuff like that in a piece of software, it took the hackers several months to find the mod in the first place.

However, what I find kind of ironic is that as a cultural we are totally okay with the idea of killing people but when sex comes up people pick up their torches and pitchforks. I'm sorry but I think killing people is a much bigger evil than sex. Not saying I think GTA should be banned for the violence, just saying that on top of the violence a little sex is no reason for alarm for me. I wouldn't have bought the game for my kids anyway.

I overheard a conversation between a young man of maybe 10 or 12 asking his mom to buy him GTA: Vice City.

Mom: "Isn't this the game with all the awful stuff in it?"
Kid: "No, that's San Andreas. This is different."
Mom: "Well, ok then."

She never even looked at the goddamn package.

So I turned around and said, "Excuse me, Ma'am, but in that particular game you get the opportunity to own a strip club, hire, beat up, and murder hookers, rob a bank, and generally kill, maim, and cause general destructive mayhem in what is essentially a digital version of 1980's Miami. If that's something you'd like your son to enjoy in his spare time, then be my guest."

And she gave me a dirty look and walked away.

and in other OTHER news, GTA still kicks ass. I had put it down for a few months, but picked up where I left off a week or so ago, and found that one of ths street races has you using a kart! LOL.... hadn't heard about that, I was so happy. It was fun. I ran over some people. :lol:
