Do I keep it?
Keep it until the end of the year, keep driving it, do nothing - leave it ugly and hopefully reliable

Keep the E36?

Well thats immediately dangerous right there.....

Logically, you're right - its cheaper to keep it than buy an //M, but at the same time if i turnover some of the cash from the sale of the 325 the payment will be pretty low - $200/mo or less over 48 mos. I need to evaluate my insurance options as well to see what thats like. I did get a bump in base pay with the new job, so that helps also.

I'm really still on the fence with the car - keeping it is cheaper, but i'd really like to get something that doesnt feel like its falling apart and is a bit more enjoyable to drive for the daily grind. The radiator popped on the car as i was going to work this morning, so thats one more thing I need to take care of....

So you want to get another E36 because your E36 feels like its falling apart? Confusedhakes head: Seriously, you're going to run into the same problems with an M3, especially because its more likely to have lead a hard life.

If you need another DD get a S14 or something, it'd cost the same. And you could satisfy your silly lust for boost at some later point.

Thats really whats stopping me from jumping on the bandwagon - and the plummeting resale value.

But then again, if I can find a car thats already had the updates to the cooling system and bushings and had been better cared for, it would be a solid buy. If the common failure items have been attended to, it *should* provide rather trouble-free ownership. It would probably take some searching to find at a reasonable price, but I can hold out for a few months while I look.

Ponder this, I will.

Well, I listed the Bimmer on craigslist, got a ton of emails within a few days and sold it yesterday Smile

So thats gone...... I will miss it in some ways, but I wont miss the hassles.

Whats up next? Nothing. 1 car is enough for me right now, I just need to get it track-ready by hyperfest, i've got so much shit to do..... my budget a splode.
