I just called a place in WV about a transmission. They can sell me the 5-speed transmission I need, with the cables, pulled, for $300. The are also allowing me the T2 turbo (best stock chrysler turbo, good to 30PSI) for $85. This would alow me to sell the mitsu Turbo and the one Rex sold me to try to make some of that back. Does this sound like a good deal? I'm thinking it is because my Grandfather has offered to drive me down to pick it up.
My other option so far is an offer I got on the www.turbododge.com forums for the tranny and cables shipped from michigan for $360. No turbo.

whoops! wrong car.
so you are essentially paying $25 and receiving the ability to inspect before purchase and get a turbo too. That sounds like a much better deal IMO.
Uh...yeah? Even if the tranny needs a rebuild that sounds like a good deal.

Yeah, itÔÇÖs a deal. 90 day warranty but that doesnÔÇÖt matter...It won't be together by then. I am calling them back and reserving all the stuff tomorrow. I'm also gonna con them outta' the intermediate shaft for the equal length axels.

How are they equal length axels if one has an intermediate shaft? Do they both?

To answer T's question the intermediate shaft serves as an extension of the transmission. It is perfectly strait and has a bearing in the middle attached to the block. This allows me to use two AUTOMATIC 89 Omni axels (driverÔÇÖs side) on both sides to eliminate torque steer.
UPDATE-
I called Tammy today (lol) and she said that itÔÇÖs all good. For $400 and a blown TBI head this is what I am gonna get-
1. 555 Manual Transmission
2. Daytona Shifter cables and shifter
3. 2.2L turbo head w/ Turbo 2 intake and Turbo 2 T3 Turbocharger attached
4. Intermediate Axel shaft
5. T2 injector wiring and Charge Air sensor

I got screwed, wrong tranny in the car. I drove 600 miles and used $75 in gas to get almost nothing. Did come back with a T2 turbo and head.

UPDATE!
I just bought another "parts" car to add to the list. A 1993 Plymouth Acclaim 4-dr (yes yes, I know). Anyways, it isn't turbo...and its a pos...BUT! It is a 2.5L COMMON BLOCK. So, all I have to do is install a oil return line, the rods I have comming, some new pistons, and axe the balance shafts and I have a T-2 2.5 torque makin' machine. Another bonus is it only cost $100 and I already have most of the parts sold, so I have actually made about $200+ off of the deal and I haven't even had it for 24 hrs. It is totally stripped and the engine is coming out tomorrow, thats what 1.5hrs and some air tools can get you. I will post pics soon!! Laugh all you want...I am...all the way to the turbo store.
