NASA autox @ Cloverleaf Sun 4/17!!!

I had an awesome time as usual, and agree with ButtDyno's comments for the most part. Felton really likes to get people slowed down at the end (for a good reason) but maybe he'll consider another stop box.

My best run was a 60.629, which I'm happy with for HS. I keep lovin' my car after all these years and still stock suspension.

Looks like I was 15 overall, 3rd in STS (congrats to scott who got me by 1/10 of a second). Jray got 4th. Looks like there where close to 15 people in STS too, not bad. First place was that stupid civic hatch (who also got first in pax) with a 53.2. Crazy.

For pax times I got 7th, jray got 8th, and scott got 4th. Not bad...

had a great time. i liked the open-ness of the course, it was such a welcome sight from the typical maze of cones mass confusion i'm used to. the competition was great and there were tons of sweet cars. if i can ever make it to a similar event i will.

highlights -

-mapquest sucks my balls
-volvo 850 came away from one run with positive 10 degrees camber on one wheel
-there was a slight hump where cars would get a little air time
-lots of horsepower
-i traded in my vtec-e for some real vtec thanks to jray

writeup tommorow, too stank/sunburned/sleepy

1) i hate se-r's, those things are too damn fast
2) i wish i could blame my crappy time on a lack of horsepower, but brent carson (sts) kind of screwed me on that one Tongue

i just suck.

time to start getting some ride-alongs with faster drivers. congrats john, scotty, and jayray! great times!

I had an awesome time. I could have done without the "girl" which everyone knows. For those, who don't...just ask Peter--he had a close up when she had to pick something up right in front of him in the car=eye level. :-)

Hey guys,

had a BLAST. I loved the course, but i wish i had a few more runs to improve my time. I finally got it on my last run with the ending box and the slaloms. Great job to everyone, that was an awesome auto-x. Thinking about the May 8th one too.... :twisted:

no not NASA photographers. He asked me personally if he could take pics, saying he was a student at VCU who does this a lot. I told him as long as he was in a safe location on the inside of a turn, then it was fine with me.
