Truthfully? I got sick and tired of being at the local scene and having (usually wrx drivers) guys ask me if my car was turboed or not. I figure this answers the question. Plus when I decided to run a larger turbo it basically required a larger intercooler or some kind of injection to help ward of knock.

Sneak peak of the underhood bling bling. I'll let some of the secrets out now to give ya'll a chance at the JMU show. These were taken at the 3rd annual lot K meet held at GMU.

The paint and carbon fiber look good dude ! They turned out really well imo.

I'm sure Travis is well aware of what the criteria that are used for judging cars, considering he was at the last car show. I think he just wanted to give a preview off all the great work he's done under the hood.

Why post stuff like that that's unproductive and negative? It's too easy to sit behind a computer screen and spout negative remarks towards someone and try to exhibit some kind of superiority.

I've met you once in person and you didn't appear to be like that at all, so why change when you get behind a keyboard? T has put a lot of money and effort into his car and deserves to show it off a little in my opinion. Let car guys talk car stuff and keep it to your self if you're just going to belittle someone.

I'm with Mike on this (for once) - nothing negative was said. Cars should be judged on the full package, and if Travis' car is well put together overall (not just lots of engine mods and some engine-bay bling) then I would think that it has a good shot at winning an award. If not, then better luck next year. Same goes for everyone who enters.

I fully expect that my car won't win anything. It's all go and *no* show whatsoever. I probably won't even wash the brake dust off the wheels

That was his point. And I came back a while ago because I have good friends that are still in MM. To be honest, what you wrote could be construed as saying that the rest of his car is a piece of shit even though he has a lot of work done under the hood. Giving him shit about finally going to a FMIC, "reminding" him of the rules... I'm sure Travis was just joking about winning any awards, I don't think that's the important thing. I'm with John; I just want an excuse to say hi to some friends, show off what I've done to my car, and talk car talk.

I guess my point is that in the majority of the posts I read of yours, there's just about nothing that's a contribution.

I'm here to stay because of the good friends I've made, not because of some ex-president of the club whose dick magically gets bigger every time he sits down at the keyboard. Take that fwiw dude. To get back on topic, headlight clearing pics coming after I get some food in me !

We ended up sanding and spraypainting the inner housing flat black. I like how cleared headlights look with the stock chrome housing, but I wanted to do something different. I think it looks really stealth; it's pretty sweet =p

The only shitty thing is that I broke one of my Silverstar low beam headlight bulbs =( Those bastards are like 20 bucks a pop. Fortunately through my connections, I had it replaced for free ! Go me.

I think the inner black housing will look better with the dark tint and dark rims and black caliper paint when I end up repainting them. We'll see though !
