I don't think I can swing making Savannah since my new job has a pretty intense schedule.

I'll be sure to bring a sleeping bag for Ryan's floor though... Smile

Ryan: I need to speak to you about instructing there... PM sent...

just drinking some RB&V and thinking about how awesome this weekend is gonna be! I think I'm gonna take friday off just to prepare and rest up. Got another friend coming down, so it'll be extra packed! And did you know that Andretti Speed lab just got some new 9HP karts that are scheduled for initiation just the weekend beforehand? Depending on when you guys can get here, we can hit that up friday or sat night, it'll be a blast. Where else can you not only drink and drive, but drink and race without consequence!? And we can party here sat night, maybe I'll get a couple PS2 wheels or something. I want y'all to be SICK of racing when the weekend is over.

*edit* hmmm.... renting out the Andretti place can be kinda pricey, but for a large group, it gets cheap. Wonder if NASA could rent it out? Confusedhock:

If anyone is wondering, I contacted NASA-SE and they use the same worker credit system but can't take NASA-VA credits currently. If you want to work ( I may- and can drive someone else if needed):

"You can sign up for our event under Officials and choose a preferred work
area and when you report to Registration they will let you know where you
are needed for the weekend.

If you have any more questions contact Julie at
registration@nasa-southeast.com - she can give you all the details."

Damnit! I really want to drive it, but the funds aren't there!!

Mentioned this to Chris Cobetto this past weekend and he's said he's on board to head down as well. With the potential of loosing my job here I don't think I can swing the Savannah portion of the trip anymore, but I'm still on board for RA itself.

As of right now, we have from NASA-VA, Chris & Laura Cobetto, James Packer, and myself who will be making the trip down. Obviously they'll be leaving from Richmond. Once I get the details hammered out I'll let y'all know so we can possibly caravan.

Looking forward to it!

The Z has been "refreshed" with fresh diff, tranny, P/S fluids, coolant, rebuilt calipers, and a larger P/S cooler. Now I just gotta decide whether I'll tow (slow) or drive down on the RA1s (fast). Hmmm...

We're driving down. I can't get my truck/trailer together in time to leave next Thursday. Hopefully the Z will stay together Smile
