I posted this on the other VIR thread but thought I would also post here:
//////
Everyone,
Thanks for coming out to VIR..........all of you are a reason for our continued success, and you make our events all the more fun. Glad to see some new faces this time and wish I could have personally met everyone. Our 3 ring circus can sometimes make it hard for me to sit and enjoy the company!

I want to apologize for the confusion about worker credits and it is totally my fault. I went back through my old e-mails to Chris P. and saw the e-mail from October 04 where we had discussed experience flaggers getting paid but trainees getting credits. I had forgotten that back in October we did offer credits. When we had our staff meeting in January, we decided that for the actual first training weekend there would be no credits. For the following weekend when they had more experience, we would offer credits, and for the 3rd weekend, we would offer payment. I looked at my e-mails to the Clemson guys, and I did communicate that to them but did not communicate the change to Chris. I did not state the rules to you since I thought they had not changed since November when we did the other flagging course. My fault for not being more clear in my e-mails to you and for not sharing that info on the forum board.
We will offer credits for all the trainees at VIR this past weekend. They will not need to send in their worker books to me. When they go to use their credits, I will remember this particular weekend's issues since the date and flagging training is marked in the booklet. For Keith who had taken the course back in November and expected to be paid for this event, we will also send payment. I just need his address.
I sincerely apologize because I know that must have ended the weekend on a sour note for those expecting credits. I do hope everyone had fun and will come back soon!

Don't listen to Mike. More speed is definitely the answer. With more speed comes a faster finish, and more time to think about your victory. Put a snail on that thing. Better yet, <RJ voice>two turbos</RJ voice>

Laura, thanks again for letting us conitnue to help out, its certainly a great time for us and we're glad we can help out the motorsports community.

Also thanks for dealing with the credit situation as you did. i know a few of the new guys were kind of dissapointed about coming away without any credits.

at any rate, everyone more or less had a great time!

Yeah, when Chad first told me, I said "Sweet man, congratulations!" because I knew what opportunities this held for the future! Granted, timing sucks, but doesn't it always?

Look at the rest of that car and tell me something awesome isn't going to come out of this...

Chad the 2005 crate GT motor is nice... you need to check that out ;-) the SCCS stock cars use them at about half potential. :-P

btw... we had a thought on "MM goes wild" this weekend... ok it was more of a Kaan and G thought but still... The owner of the 355 usually works in tech (Marcus and the OFF ROAD tractor trailer rig)... He seemed pretty willing to let us borrow it for a free dvd of women flashing themselves ;-)

more speed is not the answer... with more speed comes less time to think about things (including shifts) = more expensive repairs. just my .02, replace it with something stock and cheap. regardles, sorry to see it happen to ya chad, best of luck w/ whatever route you choose.

yea, that will happen

I think Mike just wants you to get a V6 so he can roll you.

Mike, in that vain I think you should swap out your B18B for a D15. Less speed = less shifts = less expensive repairs. You should probably also get a used stock hatchback suspension so you can reduce your corner speed Tongue

i can roll him just fine with an 8. you do have a point mr g about me swapping, but i have proven i can handle the speed of my car just fine. i don't see how it makes sense to put something faster in when you can't handle the current speed. not trying to bash on chad's skeeelz (he is a good driver) in any way, just making an observation.

i actually would like to swap in a d16 sohc vtec, but those bitches are uberhard to come by.
