Got onto Pit Row for the last hour and half of the race, plus was there for about 3 hours in the middle of the night. Can't wait for next year!!
hehe, that was an awesome race eh? Good call on catching it! 44 Lead changes? THat was nuts.
I watched a few minutes on Speed... (Yeah, we got DirectTV hooked up last week)
Seems like in a five minute span like 3 tires exploded on track...
My two feet.
....the drivers were complaining the whole race about the new Hoosiers...
May I ask how Mr. Leech?

he was one of the Rolex sales reps there.
Feersty Wrote:May I ask how Mr. Leech? Well it involved getting in a vehicle, driving down to Daytona, going up to the box office, and buying a ticket. That much could get anyone from the general public access to the infield and the garages.
As for Pit Row, in the middle of the night it was as simple as just walking through the right gate where the security guard wasn't paying attention. At the end of the race it involved having a friend who had pit access pass his credentials through the fence and then you wearing it in.
I knew there was some shady business going on...

One of the teachers at my school was on a pit crew for one of the prototype teams. I'm assuming for a team with a NASCAR driver on it.

You know, you guys could actually crew for one of the Grand Am teams. Is it that nobody is interested?

i'd love to, but it's just too far for me and/or i have to work in my spare time. same reason i couldn't do laguna seca and what not.
You wouldn't have to do the entire season you know. A lot of teams use regional crew members (i.e. some people would do only VIR, RA, Mid-Ohio).

That's already in the works for me actually, one of the teams that was there is based out of Danville, so Mark and Steve are trying to throw our hats in the mix to help crew for them.
