not sure on their cleaniness...

but i'm pretty sure the biggest problem is gonna be that they are unassembled...

my landlord (Lee and Associates) owns a storage facility at their office that may work. If you go across the bridge towards H'burg h.s. and take a right- its a ways down on Acorn drive. I'll call and find out rental prices.

just called- small garage (5x10) is $40 per month and a 10x10 is $60 per month with no restrictions on what is stored. I made sure a motor is allowed and its no prob.

ok guys, i didn't forget about the motors...my co-worker still wants to give them to me/us i just have to give him a ring and figure out a date when he would like to have them gone/when i can go back home to pick them up. i will let you guys know when i find something out for sure, this could be really good learning oppurtunity for us to learn how to do a engine build up

ok cool, wasn't sure what had happened. We'll be looking into storage options tonight.

If he's just giving the engines away regardless we could always use them as a workshop type deal and disassemble them and put them back together, as a learning experience.

my thoughts exactly, i'm not sure what kinda shape they are in, but he was using them as motors for his race cars back in the day. even if we can't use for the GRM challenge still a good learning tool...

but then what happens when it blows up and the guy you sold it to wants his money back? or better yet, when it blows up, throws oil on a road and kills someone. far fetched, but worth thinking about.

Ok guys, I talked with the guy who has the motors and everything is still fine. I told him once we had storage options squared away (figured we could do that at the meeting this week) that I would call him, hopefully by the end of the week and set up a date/let him know when i will be going home for a weekend so that i can pick them up. He said that their is no big rush but he would like to get them gone as soon as possible. Just wanted to let everyone know where things are at Big Grin

oops sorry I forgot about this... Jeff (turbomni) has a place near his home where we can store them. He also said if this falls through, there will be a 4 cyl from his omni we could mess around with.

oh he would also prefer to store only one engine
