Does that count??
Just pour a whole thing of Draino down there and call it good.

You doing the faucet or the drain? If it's the faucet and your lucky, the aerator is just stopped up and you can just clean it.

Are all aerators the same size? I'd like to replace some of them as they are really gunked up, but have no idea if this is a universal fitment part.

I think there's 3 different sizes, but 90% of household ones are the same size, 15/16" is the standard size.

Not all the same but most are like Ryan said. The low flow ones I bought came with multiple washers to account for different cartridge depths.
Take it off the sink then blast water through it in reverse; that should clean it out.

Gods honest truth is I trust my install more than most “professional” installations. I have seen countless installers cut corners and do shady stuff because “it’s what they have on the truck.” When I am doing a job I take my time because I care about the result. The only thing Joe the plumber gives a F about is getting to all his calls that day. Your job will be rushed as necessary to make those other jobs.
What Adam said.
I can certainly afford to pay someone to do the work, but it actually is a much bigger investment of time after you search for a good contractor, contact them, keep contacting more when the first few dont call you back, schedule their time which is usually in a week or two, take time off work to stay home, take more time off work because they are late, etc etc
AND
thats before they even do the work, which will probably be shitty.
I have a paid Angies List membership, and I have hired the highest rated, most expensive contractors and they STILL fuck the job up. Every damn time.
I did my own water heater at my old place and it was super easy. Even sweat soldering the copper pipe was laughably easy.
Come on people, when you use your aerators for a bowl screen, you have to scrape the resin before putting them back in.

Faucet. It's not the aerator because only hot has lost pressure and the separate hand sprayer doesn't get the full water flow when engaged. My guess is the cartridge washers have rotted.
I've never had to take off work for contractors. I'll WFH that day or delegate to the SAHM mom. Add that to the list of benefits of not having to two working adults.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
Fixed it. As I expected, there was a rubber washer/seal issue, but turns out there were two small rubber fragments lodged into the hot side. It doesn't look like this came from the receiver, so I have no idea where this came from. I've elected to say fuck it and just put everything back together. If we have another problem, I'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Third image - orange selector. Anyone know what that thing does? Maybe turn the hand sprayer off?
Fourth image - My dad bought me this tool set as a wedding present 15 years ago. He's not around anymore, but these tools still are. The kit is definitely not exhaustive, but it's 80% of what my lazy ass needs and portable is ++. Thanks dad!
Fifth image - Our massive oil heater, given I mentioned it earlier.
Last two images - Our shitter in a plywood box, with sewer for the whole house in it. Also, a window, in case you want to do some birdwatching while shitting in an unheated basement.

Our house has 1.5 baths, so that's the "OMG I'M GOING TO SOIL MYSELF" spare. It rarely gets used, but is appreciated when it is.

First roofing bid came back. $1725 to trim the gable wood, properly reflash them, and fix all necessary shingles. That's lower than I expected, so I'm anxious for our second roofer coming on Monday.

That is extremely low, much lower than I expected. That doesn't include ALL of the window and fascia repair right? Just the gables

Jesus guys. The materials for that job are probably $150 tops. My whole roof w/ 50 year “lifetime” architectural shingles and a full re-deck + repair of 2 trusses and install of baffles for better attic ventilation was 8g, and that was on a larger colonial.
$1700 for that work is plenty.

It includes cutting them back to reflash; it does not include carpentry for rot or gutters. I think the price is fair, but my roof is actually bigger than yours and has a pitch that requires harnesses and scaffolding. Remember, this same company said it was at least $15k to redo my roof (also excluding carpentry). I was prepared for them to say repair was like $4-5k.
