JGTC Summary

Welp, me, Mikey, and RJ are back at the hotel after an awesome weekend here in Cali. It was so much fun its hard to describe where it began and where it ended. The crowd was pretty big, easily the best crowd I've seen at any 'import' event.

We parked in the car club section with some of the Honda-tech boys next to the NSX Club of America that brought somewhere like 100 NSX's! Easily the best represented car in the section followed by Imprezas and Evos.

Highlights
*Huge vendor area with a lot of the aftermarket companies (Endless, Motul, Autobacs, Buddy Club, Falken, Bridgestone, Advan, etc. etc.)
*Brolly girls
*The wild and super professional looking bodywork on the JGTC cars
*The wild and super professional JDM drift cars
*Ridiculous cornering speed of JGTC cars
*Sound of the 3 rotor RX-7 GT300 car
*Ears ringing at the end of the day
*Clubbing in LA with RJ and Mike
*Seeing a girl dancing on stage at the club (kinda showing off) fall and fall down the steps
*Tons and tons of swag
*Seeing 2 Falken employees get in a fight then get kicked out because they decided they didn't want to sit down and let other people see
*Remote Control drift cars
*Autobacs kimonos
*Catching hats from the GT300 and GT500 drivers (Mike got an awesome ADVAN hat, I got CWest)

There's so much more more stuff but I'm tired.

by the end of the weekend i think i began to master the camera john... high iso speed = money. so many people though, it was hard to get good shots. i have about 475 from the weekend, they're being loaded to my machine right now. i'll take out the bad ones and throw up a link asap.

i've browsed all the pics and taken out the bad ones... still left about 400 the ones from sunday are really damn good IMO... uploading now. i'll post best of the best here on the board tomorrow.

Apparently the RX-7 was trying to make a pass on a backmarker Viper and got shoved off into a tire barrier at somewhere over 100 mph. One thing I noticed about these guys is that even if faster traffic was lapping them they weren't really given up their line.
