I've been itching for a project of some sorts and haven't found any other running car for $500 that's comparable. You all say get a different car for the same money but where are the links? I looked and found none.

You're not going to find solid cars for $500 just sitting on CL. That stuff tends to be found word-of-mouth or by managing to talk the little old lady that lives a street over out of a car she wasn't really planning on selling.

To be fair this is word of mouth and the owner is half tempted to not even sell it anymore.

That's fair, it's how I found this car actually so I shouldn't expect the offer price to be $500. This one was asking $1,200 but while at a party, was offered for $500. I'm not expecting anything amazing, but I do believe it will be a fun project to work on by myself and with the club. If nothing else I can scrap it when I'm done for some money back and onto the next project.

I'll definitely agree with this being a luxobarge. But its vintage brings a character. Its no racecar.
