my dad got a chance to test drive one recently. sadly, he thought it felt very disconnected and too soft, as well as lacking the pep he thought it would for the power. no doubt this is bc its a bit of a porker.

i think no matter what the verdict is of the driving experience, the resale value will remain rock solid on this car for a long time.

yeah...my problem with the CL is that it's too soft. These cars are aimed at a market that doesn't include possible 545 or E55 owners. Mothers that just graduated from the Minivan!

yeah...E36 M3, Boxster, or CLK430...I'm going to have some time to decide. I rushed into the purchase of my Acura, and I'm not going to make the same mistake again. Any suggestions?

No way. Just because its the cheapest Porsche doesn't mean its the worst Porsche. I'd save that for the Cayenne. I think the Boxster is a bit of an underperformer compared to some of the other roadsters for the money (mainly the S2000) but the all new Boxster should fix that.

don't even say that. I haven't driven the normal boxster, but the S is awesome. So what if its not super fast... its so balanced with the mid engine and has amazing turn-in. If it made GRM's top 20 cars of the last 2 decades, it can't be bad.

I dunno, the G35 is a sexy car but the M3 has a lot more aftermarket, history, and a huge car club to play with. M3 will also be cheaper. The G35 wouldn't be a bad choice but I think you could have just as much if not more fun with the M3.

If you must have a V6 sportscar I can think of one that is lighter, faster, and costs about the same or less...

what is it g-man? the only thing keeping me from the m3 is the maintenance... water pump, bushings, shocks... that just sucks that i'd have to replace those on a "quality" luxury car at less than 100k miles.

i also really love the g35 motor, interior, and looks.

Yeah but the NSX is just as reliabile if not more than a Civic. If you're not in the snap ring range and the clutch has been replaced ($1k-ish ouchy) you're golden :lol:.

But yeah M3. Even after you've replaced all the stuff that is prone to breaking you'll come out ahead over the G and insurance will be lower. OTOH they should be starting to come down in price by now so maybe it'd be a decent deal. You could also get an IS like Lorena and slap that 2JZ in thar y0 Tongue
