Nice choice! It seems they've resolved a few of the fitment issues that my early one has, but I think the sound is the same. I'll be real curious to hear how they compare if/when we're in the same place at the same time.
Which tips did you go for?

If you haven't done the subframe mounting points...do it.
I expected my moms to not be bad considering her driving it, and only 8k miles a year. 1 was cracked up front which was easy to see. I went "not bad". Once I went to town taking off the seam sealer for the rear mounting points I found a lot more damage. One was almost cracked up to the floor pan. I welded it all up and welded in the subframe points. If we had let it go another year or two we would have been replacing all the sheet metal...

Yeah I've already done the subframe mount reinforcement. Saw your pictures on facebook and it looks like your mom's was even worse than mine. It's something that needs to be done to all of these cars, even if they've just been driven on the street.

It's been a while since I've updated this. I tried my luck with a Chinese ebay vendor for a CSL style diffuser and it turned out pretty well. I had to make some small adjustments to get it to fit properly, but overall I'm happy with it. It was just over $200 already painted. The carbon fiber was 10x better than the American made piece I had previously bought and returned.
Still waiting on my muffler. I'm not going to wait too much longer before I just cancel the order and get the Rogue El Diablo.

Patience.

I'd say I'm being more than patient when I was originally told I would have it before the end of April.
I'm going on vacation the week of July 4th. If I don't have it by the time I get back, I'm probably going to cancel.

I have called multiple times and they always say more or less the same thing, only a couple more weeks. The last time I called was last Monday and I was told that the exhaust tips should be coming in this week (last week now). So I guess we'll see if I get a tracking number this week.

I FINALLY (3.5 months after I ordered) have a tracking number for the scorza muffler for this thing. Should be here on Thursday so I'll probably install it then. Can't wait to finally have this thing not sounding like complete shit. I'm planning on borrowing a nice mic from a music friend so I'll try to get some good exhaust videos of both the Subaru and this once I get it installed.
Otherwise, nothing new to report with this car. It hasn't given me any problems at all. If only my Xterra could have been as reliable as my M3. Has that sentence ever been written before?

Yassss. Ready to hear it.
And lols. That Xterra was never maintained at all by the previous owner (s) or you got a dime dozen shitty lucky one.

Finally got the SGT Scorza muffler and was able to install it yesterday. Install was pretty easy other than having to cut the stock bolts because they were rusted on to the point of twisting in half when I tried to install them. Kind of weird since the rest of the exhaust bolts on the car haven't been a problem.
Anyway, after installation I noticed that the bend on the drivers side isn't quite 90 degrees so those tips end up being pointed slightly toward the middle of the car and rub the diffuser because of this. I'm going to have to take it to an exhaust shop to get them to head that bend up and move it slightly. Not exactly what I would have expected out of such an expensive muffler.
As far as sound goes, the tone is nearly perfect. It's high pitched and exotic sounding in the upper RPMs and nice and smooth sounding in lower RPMs. However, there is still a ton of rasp. I may eventually look into doing something to calm that down without changing the tone too much.
I'll post some pictures of it on the car once I get it fixed. The new tips look 100x better than stock.

That will happen this weekend. I borrowed a mic from one of my friends and will hook it up to my D7000 for some hopefully good quality audio.
I haven't even been able to hit 8k with it installed yet. It was raining pretty heavily here yesterday evening and I noticed my rear tires are getting pretty low. I was hoping to wait until next spring for wheels and tires but that may have to come sooner rather than later. I wanted to do coilovers first since these cars look kind of goofy on 18's before they're lowered, but that may have to wait. Pretty sure I'm going to drop down to 18" hyper black arc-8's. I haven't decided if I want to do a square setup or not.

You should try to contact Scorza to bitch them out. You waited a long time and then the exhaust wasn't even perfect. I'd be not very happy.

square square square. 18x9.5s... Or if you feel like really pushing it, the 18x10s clear if you do a bit of rolling and have some camber.
18x10s
I also have some 18x9.5s ARC-8s in black with 275s on them if you would like to test-fit if you are ever in the northern virginia/reston area.

The only thing I'm worried about with a square setup is the tramlining. The WS6 I had with 275's up front tramlined to the point of being obnoxious. However my evo with 255's all around didn't at all, so that might just be the WS6's shitty suspension setup.
If I go with a square setup, it will be 18x9.5et33 with a 10 or 12 mm spacer in the back so it looks right and 265 Michelin PSS's.

Huh, you saying that gave me a flashback to an older setup on my car that would tramline like crazy on the highway with 245s up front. I'm still running 245s square but with heavier wheels and WAY more front camber thanks to the top hat trick. So maybe it comes down to your alignment and specific setup more so than tire size?

Camber/toe will affect tramlining way, way more than square vs staggered.
