To Mike's defense, it annoys me that my wife's Elantra doesn't have memory seats either. Since there is basically a 1 foot difference in our height there are a lot of adjustments I need to do any time I drive her car. I decided the next car we get her will have these Tongue

You can use that time you spent waiting for the seat to slide back to admire whatever watch you're wearing that day.

the only inconveniences that should be solved are the ones that are inconvenient to RJ.

plugging in 2 cables into his iphone instead of 1 is too much trouble, but if you dont want to have to redo the seats and mirrors every time you drive the car youre just lazy and unreasonable.

anyone who has had to share a car knows how much of a magical timesaver memory seats are. even better when its tied to the keyfob that you use.

You should try being stuck in an automotive time warp. It makes things much more sensible and you find yourself far less concerned about these trivial details. 4 seats, a turbo, and it runs? FUCK YES THIS THING IS AWESOME.

no, only a foot.

have you had electronic seats? if the seats were manual, it'd be much easier. you could know a number of clicks or presses from one extreme or the other. with 18-way electronically adjustable, the combinations are infinite and getting it "right" isn't all that easy.

no, you don't have to move your seat... that's the point... because you don't share a car. and if you did, you're woman-sized so it wouldn't be much of an inconvenience i suppose.

yeah. they're slow. i'd much rather have (and do) manual seats.

but its never been such a big deal that i wouldn't buy an otherwise fine car over it.

Except fugly.

Just got a notice in the mail that Audi has settled the oil consumption class action. Free fixes and related warranty increased to 8-years/80k miles.

14mpg on last tank. 100% city. That blows. I've seen about a 10% drop in efficiency since they did the oil fix.

I have been getting 15-16 city, but I am the absolute worst case scenario - lots of cold starts, short trips and boost. My commute is 3 miles.
