Funny enough, I wasn't really referring to the metal fab, more regarding the experiences you've had with fast bikes, fast cars, and the related test drives....

we need a nice motor... easy to find off some junk bike on ebay... and a stripped chassis for a roller... and some place to wrench on it....

not a gixxer motor.... busa motor :twisted: with alot of prep we could kill our selves in less than 3.0 seconds.

one of those kinda karts? considering we dont have an old chassis laying around or a destoryed motorcycle? not too cheap but i'd say maybe 2-3k

I have access to a 400 cc yahama motorcycle engine. We were going to put it in a golf cart but could never get a decent price on a cart. I had the plans drawn up and everything. Anyone interested in a project :lol:

I believe ODU races in some SAE kart racing series and they use a gixxer motor. And about building a chsis from scratch.... I have access to TIG welders, MIG welders, and the too much fun plasma cutter Smile.

I concur! I'll volunteer my garage! And I'm sure we can find a motor and the appropriate accessories.

In fact, a friend of mine did his senior PhD (ME) project on a formula car with a motorcycle engine. Maybe he still has his notes?
