Hey guys I'm Ricky Rizzo. I picked up an 2005 Acura RSX Type S this summer and I'm totally into the JDM/stance scene. Ideally I'd like to do some more performace oriented mods to the ride but I just lost a clutch so I'm in the hole a good chunk of change right now. So far I've done a new shift boot, knob, honda front emblem, honda wheel center caps, and JDM Integra Type s and honda badges (havent installed yet because I cant get all of the crap off from the old badges). I have a lot planned for the car. Right now I'm trying to decide what to buy next. Ive got a bout $700 to throw at a mod. Im thinking exhaust, form function coils, or short ram, or a full head unit and speaker system. Any thoughts? Here's some pics
Three of your pix aren't working because they are HTML links and not the straight Jpeg file - I was able to fix the 4th. Might wanna edit the post
Welcome to MM! Honestly, I'd look at the car and see what maintenance has been done (how many miles on it?) and what needs doing next before you modify anything further. For example, it's known on BMWs that at 100k, they need a full cooling system replacement. I'd hate to see you be SOL if something like that came up (timing belt?) and you blew the $700 on something like suspension first.
Kaan is our resident Honda fanboi and he can tell you everything about every Honda, ever. So listen to him Hopefully we'll see you at VIR or the Verona autocross!

^^ dude, it's a honda, just change the oil every 3 years, right?
welcome Ricky! i've had good luck in the past with a little gas on rag to take the emblem glue/gunk off. (doesn't hurt the paint *too* bad)
Yeah seriously jake. It's honda, it needs an oil change, tires, and brakes for life. That's it.
Welcome to the club! I think I'm the only other honda guy in the club right now? I've got a 2012 Si. See you at some events!
Edit: Use 3m adhesive remover and a plastic razor blade to get excess glue off from the old badges.

Maybe Polen meant "the only Honda guy with uncracked rotors right now."

I don't drive it up here because college kids can't respect nice things and it was getting fresh dings weekly. Also, I take the bus so my cars usually sit up here, and my dad enjoys driving it so I let him use it.

Welcome to the club!
I've actually really wanted to get my hands on one of these again. I had a regular 2006 Auto RSX back in the day.
Like was discussed, check and see if anything will be needed. Do they have like a Cobb AP equivalent for the RSX? Best bang for your buck I would think.

Hondata. Pricey but worth it. Don't think they have the COBB for the any hondas but i haven't done my HW on that for i have a beemer and enough HW to do already.... Have a few buddies back home with b18's type C with hondata and from what they "say" its the best tune you can get for a honda and they have never had a problem with it. Pretty sure its not a piggy back either, you just send your ECU to them and they send it right on back in the form of "Hondata". Very fun car to drive
^ Bimmer*... sorry had to say that one. Also I had Hondata for my Ep3 with a K20a3. Best bang for your buck, it's absolutely a blast to use and relatively easy. Having said that, it's also how I blew my engine so keep that in mind.

yeah im a little nervous to go with a new ECU just because the engine already has 160k miles on it. I know its a honda but it will explode. Im hoping that if I ever blow the engine I can pick up the man van from back home to daily and K24 swap the rsx. We'll see. I really want to go low so im thinking coils and camber arms will be my next investment
