Worker Assignments for Summit 10-23/24
#1
Hi everyone!
We will be doing the flagging course this weekend so we will be using MM people in three areas:
1 Solo Flaggers on course
2 Flagging training course
3 Normal worker positions (Grid, timing and scoring, etc)

This is what I am proposing based on e-mails I hace received and posts on the other thread. It is possible that I have left someone out since the other thread got so long, so please e-mail me to confirm your worker position and you may also post here, but be sure and e-mail me no matter what.
laura@nasaracing.net

SOLO FLAGGERS ON CORNER STATIONS These people are paide $75 each day.
Jason Ray
Dave Allen
John Chapin

TAKING FLAGGING COURSE (You will be taking a 90 minute classroom session and then will be put on various corner stations throughout the weekend. You will have a radio to listen to course communications. You will earn worker credits)

Rex
Keith
2 non-MM people

Working regular positions and earning worker credits:
Blair
Jess Chapin

I think Jess had expressed interest in taking flagging course as well and that may be possible as long as all our worker positions are covered with other non-MM people. I am working on that with Matt (Grid Chief).

Again, please e-mail me any changes or corrections ASAP to laura@nasaracing.net. Thanks!

John,
I just cancelled 2 rooms that I didin't need and immediately e-mailed them when I saw your message. I told them to put one room under your name temporarily. If you want a room at Shoney's, be sure and call them soon and put your cc on it.
Hope that helps,
Laura

I'm not gonna be going to Summit this season cause of work, but I would like to let you all know that if there is ever a time where you cannot get a hotel room or there isn't enough floor space, my parents live in Winchester(well Frederick County) but it is no farther than the shoney's to summit drive. I am sure that with enough notice there will be a bed available. Keep this in mind for next season too cause I should be able to be at most events, god willing I get a real job.

Please see schedule for positions below. Also, as mentioned on another thread, we can use some help in tech on Saturday morning, particularly if you are able to perform HPDE techs solo. Please e-mail me and let me know if you can help: laura@nasaracing.net

SOLO FLAGGERS:
Please be present for 7:45AM ALL HANDS MEETING near the Tech Shed. After the meeting you will meet with Mark Adkins and the other flaggers and then will go to your station. Mark will have your lunch tickets. Please see me for payment during lunch on Sunday.

TRAINING FOR FLAGGING:
If any of you are able to come to the track on Friday evening, Mark and JJ can go over some instructional things at that time. Please e-mail me and let me know if you can. Please be present for 7:45AM ALL HANDS MEETING near the Tech Shed. After the meeting, you will meet with Mark Adkins and all the flaggers. Then you will go to the control tower for training. After the training course, you will be assigned to a corner station.

REGULAR WORKER POSITIONS:
Grid: Jess and Blair. Report to 7:45 Meeting and then to grid for both days.

Timing/Scoring: Christina. Please report to registration at 7AM Saturday morning to help with registration. After that time, please report to timing and scoring for all race practice, qualifying and races. Sunday - please report for 7:45 Meeting and then go to t&s.

Id be more than happy to come down by then friday night, but Im still not sure who I can get a ride with? I guess whether Im there or not friday depends on who Im driving down with. In which case, anybody going their early and have space in their car? Im more than happy to pay gas/whatever else.

also, quick question about the weekend in general. About what time do you think we will be getting back on sunday? I need a general idea to see if i can work at night or not. Thanks.
