This is a car that is want to see in a MT. If it has the same decent but average 6AT that's in my car...its not really going to be super fun to drive.
The euro makes are blowing the Americans out of the water in the AT category

I agree - hopefully they offer a MT in the following model year or something. I'm not sure how product planning around transmissions works, but I'd imagine if Holden has already done the work, and a customer wanted one built to order, why not?
Test drove an 08 G8 GT and an 08 335i vert. Both very fun cars. Have to admit the G8 satisfied the V8 fanboi deep in my soul. E39 had a nice exhaust note as well, though.

My fault, call it dyslexia.

Lexus IS F (5.0 L v8)....super sweet, can be found for less than 35k
bmw 550i (4.8 L v8)....can be found in manual
Mercedes Benz E550 (don't remember, big V8)... can be found in awd (4-matic)
all of these sedans can do 0-60 in less than 5 seconds

Jason08 Wrote:Lexus IS F (5.0 L v8)....super sweet, can be found for less than 35k Actually that's pretty brilliant. Don't know why it didn't occur to me, but a good friend of mine is selling his silver-on-black IS-F - and it's super clean. Fast, comfy, rare-ish, cool looking - seems like it would fit your list pretty well.

I would absolutely consider an IS F, but I only found one under $40k with less than 70k miles on it in my 300 mile radius Autotrader search just now. (I would want a car with less than 40k miles)

Has anyone said V8 Phaeton?
1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442
Lol. Even I wouldn't buy a Phaeton and I'm like the #1 customer of German bullshit.
How about one of them-thur Golf Rs? Good looks, good interior, AWD, quick, and in your price range brandy new, I'm sure a 2012 with a few miles on it would be $30k or less.

I don't think they sell it with the twin-clutch though. Which is silly because they only sold the last one with it. Why not just let people order what they want?
Now: 07 Porsche Cayman S | 18 VW Tiguan
Then: 18 VW GTI Autobahn | 95 BMW M3 | 15 VW GTI SE | 12 Kia Optima SX | 2009 VW GTI | 00 BMW 540i Sport | 90 Mazda Miata | 94 Yamaha FZR600R | 1993 Suzuki GS500E | 2003 BMW 325i | 95 Saab 900S
Why not? There's a bunch of other idiotic ideas in this thread, what's one more?

I was looking at those a while back. Still mid-high 50s for the new body style. You can however find the 2010ish ones in the 30s
That major depreciation is something to think about on bmws though...seems to hit them particularly hard

335i? I know someone selling one with 48k and it is cleeeean. Slightly modded but tasteful. Here it is:

I like the 335i; coupe or vert. I'm sure a sedan too if it was adjusted right.

Wasn't the G37 written off because this was a problem?
I feel like G37s are tainted by douchebaggery more so than E92/3s. I should go test drive one anyway.
