Wheel choices for 4x108's?
#1
For those of you with the strange size bolt pattern of 4x108, what have you found as far as a solid lightweight (oxymoron?) wheel?

Specifically, I'm looking for
16x7 or 17x7
38mm offset (achievable with spacers if necessary)
4x108

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Pete

Tire rack carry anything?

IIRC, They drill Kosei K1's to any bolt pattern.

In addition to that, you could probably get some Cragars or Welds or something in pretty much any size, offeset, and pattern you wanted.

4X108...does that share a pattern with any ohter car on the planet?

Can you fit a wheel wider than 7" in the rear? You're gonna need some tires to put all that boost to the pavement Smile

Actually, we share bolt patterns with the cugor, contour, and focus. The focus has the most potential, however its offset is something like 45mm vs my 38mm - but spacers can help some there.

The brands you guys are reccomending are right on, that's what I was looking for! I've also looked as Falkin (any reviews on their wheels?), O.Z., and Eneki so far. Yeah, TireRack has lots for the Focus SVT, but they don't care to give weights or offsets so I have to call, and I haven't found a design I like enough to bother. I'll have to soon though, not only do I need rubber, I need brakes - which is the biggest thing on my mind right now. Can't get much stopping power to fit under a 14" wheel... lol... 16"-17" changes the whole game though. :-)

If I do a coilover conversion, 7.5", but a 225 tire is the biggest people get wihtout having to roll finders, etc. I can get a 225 tire on a 7" rim and save a little weight. Critique?

do you really want to avoid rolling the fender? if you have the right tool, im sure its not that difficult and it will give you alot more options. most importantly though, it will look badass.

a 225 on a 7" wheel will be fine, but I've got a feeling you will want more tire than to put down 250whp....

245/45/17 falkens in the rear on 17x8's, 225/45/17's up front on 17x7? Smile

I just emailed a few guys that would know the limits of what will fit before and after modifications, I'll let you know what I find out.

On a great note, I'm going to go check out the car this weekend. They've done a lot to it, and although it's not done, it will still be exciting :-).

Lol, right. I need one more things to change on that car. I'd have to get all sorts of stuff to make them fit right. And you're the one pushing me hardest to get this piece running! If I start snapping 4 lug wheels, I'll get 5, but I don't see that happening any time soon ;-)
P.S. Happy anniversary Chad and Christina!
