Not really news I guess, it was known last year that his contract with Redbull essentially gave him a chance at stock car racing. The only issue is that the other guy involved with this deal has been involved with some shady dealings in NASCAR/sports already.

Not sure why that makes him an idiot. He's basically jumping around from series to series, doing whatever the hell he wants. Sounds pretty awesome to me.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
Sounds good to me too, and thats what I would expect of a competitor. But I wonder if he did his homework of who he's getting involed with, the Gilletts have a great history of destroying sports teams.
In the end, he's probably going to end up driving for Redbull in sprint cup next year after Kasey Kahne leaves the team, which actually makes sense.

Ah so you're saying he's stupid to be trying out NASCAR with the Gilette team, not stupid for trying out NASCAR.
Well, Kimi certainly has more than enough money at this point so I'm sure he could get a ride with a decent team if he needed to. Hopefully he'll do better than JPM has thus far.

Yep. I just hope that Foster Gillet doesnt take him for a financial ride. The Gillets have already done that with Evernham And Richard Petty, while bankrupting the team. I have no doubt Kimi will do well, and it shows his racing spirit to try a motorsport his fans probably don't like.
And JPM would be better with a well funded team. He has the talent.
