My BB Storm died this morning and I have a trip I have to take for a day with clients. I need something quick. I can re-new for 2 with VZW. Should I get the I-phone and become a lemming or should I get teh Droid or maybe another BB?
Likes of the BB. email, email email. I can't be away from this. I-net is ok but not that great. I use google maps, weather channel and Where and a stock market watcher by Envision, thats about it.
Dislikes of BB Storm: keyboard, no wifi and always having to do a battery pull to reset (at least once a day).
I am not that knowledgable on various Apps but I could get used to having some cool ones i guess. Most important is that I can stay in touch with my clients through my cox.net and hotmail email accounts....
Help please I need to get this today...
There are a bunch of Apple fanbois on this board, but I have to say my Android phone has been flawless (although it's one of the better ones that is out there right now). It syncs up to Outlook Calendar and email just fine and is a powerhouse when it comes to apps and usefulness. I never had the Storm, but a couple guys I know who had it hated it.

I-phone is not avail till Feb anyway...
If you do get an Android phone just get one of the nice ones. If you cheap out you'll have a hard time running some of the memory-intensive apps. I think the Droid X is the good one for Verizon? I'm not sure exactly, I'm a Sprint user.

You want a physical keyboard? The answer to that question narrows your selection down pretty quickly.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
Am looking at Droid2 and of course Droid R2D2....
Droid 2 if you want a keyboard.

I have it now. Tough to get used to this after using BB for 4 years. I liked the BB for sync with outlook, the Droid is a pita for that....
Once you get it set up it's not a big deal. My Google and Outlook calendars sync perfectly.

calendars yes, contacts......?
Oh I'm sure you can do that too, I don't use contacts on Outlook in the traditional sense. When I send an email from my phone it will auto-populate their address if they're in my book but I've never tried to sync contacts other than from Facebook. I'm pretty sure you can do it, I've just never tried.

PITA to sync contacts, took droid back and now have BB Storm2. Much easier for me, already had BB Desktop manager. Didn't have time to mess w/Droid, I needed phone for meetings tomorrow...
lol......android is a PITA to do anything. Its a usability nightmare. Definitely good call returning the droid and sticking with the BB
