I am not listed in the standings..I dunno why. And it put me as unknown. Coned away my 55.8 second run. Tried different pressures and it hurt me, oh well lesson learned. Not trying to compete for points with SCCA, but the competitive drive in me wants to get some sticky tires and go wider to try to grab STU win.

Overall I had a lot of fun, the test and tune was amazing, I will sign up for that everytime now, got in some really good runs and im starting to find where the m3 is fast, definitely a different line than the gsx. I also have to give Jake Thiewes congratulations for very impressive improvement over the past year/year and half, he has definitely caught the driver bug and looked real good out there!

You know, I looked over the results, and if I'm right, that 84 colt that beat you was that beasty turbo colt...which the 2nd driver was classed in STU, but one driver was classed in HS (ahead of you) Why he classed it in HS I have no idea (unless it had less mods than it looked, def had stock suspension, but the motor seemed beasty) I'd say you really finished 1st instead of 2nd, in which case, Congrats!
Jake has gotten quite good, I found that out the hard way back in november

Oh my.... check out my awesome factory 4x4 wheel gap Big Grin I'm guessing this pic was taken at full throttle on my way to the finish line (station #2 in the back).

Thanks for the compliments guys! I've been pleased with my improvement, of course there's always something else to improve on.

That Colt Turbo was in two classes because the dad (Bill) and son (Steffan) were changing suspension parts between them. Springs, I think. That explains that. I was genuinely concerned that Steffan was gonna roll it at one point - he got a wheel off the ground and started bouncing back and forth. Momentum almost took care of the rest!

Great driving by all out there. Can't wait for the next one!!

Ooops -I replied before I saw Jake's post.

The owner of the Colt talked to me about having time to put the suspension back to stock for the other driver. I forgot to ask him about the motor.

I coned away my best run thanks to my abs not working sliding into a cone Sad oh well, I had a blast this weekend as always and can't wait to be back at verona with everyone.

Does this mean Jake won battle of the co drives?

I cannot believe the two guys in the Colt couldn't come to an agreement on what class to run. Judging by the scary amount of dog-legging they needed all the spring they can buy. Glad that thing was on terrible tires, otherwise it would have been so much scarier to watch.
