6 riders got taken out in turn 1 of the first lap at Motegi. Unfortunately 3 of the American riders were among the casualties (Edwards, Hayden, and Hopkins).

roadracing is mad scary. The first corner of the first lap at Scummit Jefferson, someone went down in front of me and i almost ran over them.
Its mad cool if your into it, but it scared the shit out of me.
My cousin used to race at Summit Point, on an EX 500. But, then he had children, now just drives his harley with the Masons.
