A friend of mine once had a 16v A2. With like, a b pipe. It was stupid loud. He just drove it around like that. Sounded like it had the husquavarna swap...

Were/Are those Scirocos and Corrados expensive to maintain? Just curious, I don't see many on the road anymore, and I remember this kid that came to buy my sister's old Volvo pulling up in one. (I don't remember which) It looked really well taken care of, it actually looked kinda neat, but he said he just couldn't afford the upkeep on it anymore, parts were so expensive. Aparently a ragged out, frakenstein'd turbo 240 DL was somehow going to be his savior. Poor guy. I wanted to tell him to run. FAR.

I was interested in a Corrado a few years back, they are pretty expensive to maintain and for that reason I didn't get one Smile

Actually I considered one a few years ago too when I was shopping for a car. Ended up getting a Cherokee instead Sad

I used to be a big fan of the old GTis too, the ones with 2 round headlights on each side. Mainly because it was the closest thing you could get to a Lancia Delta Intergrale in the states.

just dont break anything that goes solely to a scirocco, like the glass lol. suspension motor and brakes are all common basically. at least thats what i was told. other then broken windows ... she didnt break down till she blew the motor at 256k on the clock! damn i miss that car.
