i've been bored with the 360 for a few months... nothing good comes out until the holidays. can't really blame developers; that's when they sell. just makes for such a dull year. i've had to go outside and stuff!

I've been playing the Fallout 3 DLC for weeks now. Not as good as original content, but I'm running through with a second char and *still* finding new shit.

i still need to beat fallout... i just don't have the time once the weather gets nice. i picked up ufc09 the other day; it's ok, but really just something to hold me over for a month or so.

my plans for the year (on 360):
fight night round 4
madden 10 (i skipped 09, time to get with the times)
red dead redemption
forza 3
bioshock 2
modern warfare 2
assassin's creed 2
dead rising 2

and elsewhere:
diablo 3
starcraft 2

as always, the last 3 months of the year will be ridiculous.

I still haven't beaten Forza 2 all the way through, granted I play it pretty sparingly. Those racing games are just so LONG. I've been using hired drivers on easy setting to just get through the endurance races. I'd probably pick up Forza 3 with that said just to see the updated tracks and cars and stuff.

I have still been playing World At War when I get the chance, the Zombie games are just great and I hope they have it on MW2. Headquarters is a lot of fun as well. I beleive we are 4th prestige level 61 or somewhere close to that (my son plays as well). Bad Company is a decent game as well! If anyone wants to play the tag Tigerstripe55.

Alright I havent owned a system since the ps2, and the last time I played that more than once a blue moon was senior year of high school. However, now that I have a job, coming home, working out and dinner I am realizing there is A) too little energy to go out, B) fucking NOVA is outrageous to go out (first 3 days back from china I spent $320 in bar tabs for myself) and C) My 30 minute commute each way makes me less wanting to go and drive the 20 minutes to friend's houses just to hang out. D) Less active on forums outside work cause I do nothing at work and spend wayyy too much time on forums now that its all I do at work.

So...trying to decide wether to buy pc games, buy an xbox 360 or buy a ps3. PC has free internet multiplayer (single players bore me quickly, not too much of a game guy except when its against actual people), so does PS3. XBOX has xbox live. However, forza is badass and xbox seems to have a very active online community. I loved GT5 on ps3s online multiplayer when my friend rented it for his ps3, but I assume im going to need more than one game to keep me not bored.

So, let your inner gamers come out and help me! I dont even know what cool games are out there, and I did some searching and games are SOOO far gone from what they were in high school I dont know where to start.

ie. for example I played counter-strike and master of orion 2 which are from like middle school when I was procrastinating papers in college.

I used to PC game religiously (I was addicted to Everquest for years!). I wouldn't recommend it for a casual gamer like yourself. I have a 360 and it's consistently provided "play it and leave it" fun for years, and they continue to come out with really awesome games. It sucks having to pay for XBL, but it is what it is. Like you said XBOX's online community is massive. I've never really played around with a PS3, but they still don't really seem to have the quality and diversity of games as the XBOX does. Just my $.02!

I'd recommend the XBOX 360 as well. There are quite a few good games for it and more on the way, there are lots of people to play online with, and the 360 has a good bit of extra useful features (I use it to play races I've downloaded onto a USB drive). The only major downside IMO is that Xbox Live is not free.

OTOH, while XBox Live is not free, I do think it's worth the money you pay. The matching system is pretty good, any DLC for anything is available almost exclusively for XBox, and there are far more "good" titles for the XBox than for the PS3.

*swipe* Got myself a xbox 360. I got the arcade because I awas talking to the guy and the arcade with 256mb will be more than enough for me asI only will be playing games on it, no downloading music or videos or any of that bs. Just games.

They were out of Forza 2, (reston whhere I work has it so ill be picking that up tomorrow)

I bought:
The Orange Box (I love this game so I had to buy it)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (everybody said this is good? Is it worth it? Do people play it? Any better game for multiplayer?) It isnt open so I can return it.

Any other games people suggest, I realyl thought of buying gears of war 2 or Red Faction Guerilla Warfare.

After reading your guys stuff, do you think its necessary to get the next level up from the arcade? In terms of 256mb to 60gb? I wont open up the console until I know. Also should I get the $30 dollar protection plan for 2 years from Best Buy?
