Looks like its out of print but its a pretty good book. Check it out sometime.

It's one of those things that you have to really figure out for yourself and then pray for yourself and God will tell you if he really exists or not. It's not a matter of being force-fed beliefs, it's a matter of figuring out if they are right or not...religion is too hard to stick to otherwise...trust me...I'm Mormon.

dont confuse church with religion. they are not the same.
the church is made by man and therefore imperfect (some more than others!)
I am by no means denouncing the church, Fellowship is important, but your relationship with God can be very personal (but I dont mean personal as in "make up your own beliefs and God will think you're a good guy")

if you take a step back and look at religion with a pure logical perspective (and a little counterculture attitude) it certainly could look "silly"
but thats the point, its not logical. And neither is the simple fact that we are here at all.

oh oh, i'm not. church is retarded (just mo), religion not so much... when i looked at the church and found it to be silly i also took a step back in my religion as well. right now i don't fit in to any of the "belief systems."

A lot of people make their own gods in their head and then convince themselves that the way their living is moral, so they have justification for living a certain way
