"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

If I don't talk about it at every opportunity between now and then, you'll forget.
I won't be catching any of that on TV this weekend, but hopefully it'll be worth it.

I only watch MotoGP and F1 races (not practice or qualifying) and I'm usually doing web design or surfing on my laptop while I do it.

I only enjoy it on TV or in person if people I know are in the race or I'm with a bunch of friends, drinking much. By itself, by myself, no.

my favorite racing of all to watch is actually nascar at road courses

agreed, although TNT's coverage is abysmal.
Fantasy nascar has made me interested in watching the races because it gives me people to root for and hate on but aside from that, its not that great.

Yuck, you guys watch NASCRAP
I would if nothing else is on. Actually the Autralian supercars are a little more entertaining to watch, although appear similar to watching NASCAR on road courses. I like seeing the cars pitch and roll.

And the best is on now HD Theater Goodwood Revival (from a few years ago). Watch for additional showings. Coverage of some of the most beautiful pre-66 race cars on a slightly wet track, 6in wide bias ply tyres and no aero.
They show just the highlights which is good.

I have a little bit of a rub near lock but if you are turned to lock on a track there are other problems already...
the only stuff that really holds my attention is off road trophy truck, WRC and aussie V8 sedans
thanks for the heads up though, good weekend for a beer/racing

My favorite racing to watch is Dirt Late Model racing, whether is World of Outlaws, Lucas Dirt, or just the local sanctioning bodies in the mid atlantic areas, not to mention just the local tracks.
However, my favorite NASCAR race is actually the Nationwide series when they race at Mexico City, the track seems to lend itself very well to stock cars, it seems wide, most of the turns seem pretty sweeping, and it has the longest straightaway out of all of the NASCAR tracks in and series.
I enjoy watching the V8 Australian stuff, as well as Rolex stuff too.

Speaking of that, a couple weeks ago at Winchester Speedway (va), a 4 cylinder mustang jumped a berm, hit a light pole, knocked it down onto a truck, knocked a few people down on top of a trailer (they didn't fall off though), and then there were live wires laying around on top of the car and on the ground.
Here's a few pictures:
