Hyperfest
it was a long, hot, and tough weekend on those that worked, drove, and spectated... give them some time.

IMO he was one of the most impressive drivers. He got knocked out in the first round but he had the most angle out of any car there, and he was on a short wheelbase car to boot

I need to work through my footage, but I do have a 944 rolling over in T10.

I nearly fell off the trailer once or twice here...

My Sunday race: http://www.vimeo.com/1228332

I'm about 2 seconds off my best times at Summit and it's pretty obvious why.

you broke your v-tech?

edit #1: and you still don't downshift correctly.
edit #2: and you are abysmal at T10.
edit #2.5: it actually got better... i must have commented after a bad pass.
edit #3: and you're losing about a second each time through the chute.
edit #4: and your line through the carousel is HPDE1.
edit #5: i'll end on a positive note... your car seems to run very strong.

i'm trying to be constructive, but since it is me to you, i had to add a little bit of hate.

i'd suggest doing some events in hpde3, but request an instructor. you have an EASY 2-3 seconds to cut off. it just seems like you're out for a cruise.

#2 is because of #1

I thought doing a partial season would allow me to work on the shit I suck at it but instead it just makes still do those things and add rustiness on top of that.

I should be flat footing through the chute, that's for sure, but I don't have the balls to do it. I agree with you about doing HPDE instead of races, that was my plan for this year but decided I liked racing even if I wasn't doing well. Big Grin Barrier to progress, I know.

Evan was talking about renting a 944 just to see if the competition is that tough or if I just suck. I'm guessing it's a little bit of both, especially since I'm way off my own times.
