I might be interested... The Glen is very close to where I grew up, and I've wanted to go back for quite some time.

The drive isn't that bad. It's only 45 minutes further from Fairfax that it was for me from New Hampshire. If you guys plan on going I even have a good hotel recommendation for you... the Seneca Clipper inn, it's fantastic.

okay guys, I've gotta be really selective about what events I run the rest of this year because of this whole marriage thing. So my two big events that I really wanna do are:
26-27 Aug - Carguys - Lowes Motorspeedway (including under the lights) 15-16 Sept - NASA-NE - Watkins Glen I'd be much more likely to go if others are going. Evan, you said you were considering Lowes? Mike, you were gonna do WG as brought up in another thread on here? Boobies and Hunter, you guys are pretty close (relative to most of us) to WG, what do you all think?

My schedule has become miserable this year... Too busy with running and biking and moving shit... I'd still very much like to do the Glen event. If one other person signs up, I will too. I was hoping to take off Friday, start heading up there, spend the weekend in random towns along the way... Thoughts?

Maengelito Wrote:Boobies and Hunter, you guys are pretty close (relative to most of us) to WG, what do you all think? The glen is only about 5 hours from me and I had a great time there last year, so I highly recommend it. If I can make it I will definitely be there with you, unfortunately I can't commit to it right now because I have no idea where I'll be in september. I'm going to be working with a research lab up here during the summer and then either staying for the Phd or moving on somewhere else by the fall. It's all up in the air. ...not to mention the fact that the bimmer is sitting in VA with a blow head gasket and hasn't moved since christmas time.

I may head out to Miller Motorsports this year to do a Double SCCA race in June or I may just go all the way to Laguna or Infineon. I'll be taking the trailer with one car in it.
When SCCA goes to Miller, they pay the for fuel for the person that drives the farthest, I may win!

I'm still interested in the Glen event, but only if a couple of you want to go. Should we look into another group? Is NASA-NE really unorganized?
I'm not too worried about track time because I'm sure learning that track is going to be challenging enough, but I'd like to know if sessions would be less than 20 minutes... because that would change my mind.
