Apparently he's going to commute on his giant pile of cash.

Resale on diesels is usually pretty good, but they also typically have a higher cost of entry, so keep that in mind. The good thing is that they usually do last a whole lot longer than a gasser, but if you have an engine failure, you're looking at big bucks. If I punched a hole in mine, I'd be looking at $7k just for a new engine, not to mention paying somebody to install (i don't have the tools to do that big of a job).
I don't even know of any trucks with a diesel V6, that was just a pipe dream when I said it.
there were a couple years of the Ram with a turbah v6 oilburner

Yeah, I saw some of those. IIRC it is a pretty big v6
Also - if I had a diesel and the engine blew, I'd probably just do a reman swap or a junkyard swap. You can get a 6.5l turbo long block for 2800$ with 100k/7year warranty

Are you guys talking about the 5.9 Inline Cummins 6?
Because it is neither small, nor a V6.
What it is, however, is really freakin' cool.

yeah, and I totally forgot about the Cummins I-6. That thing is a monster though; putting that into a light truck would probably make it prone to doing an endo every time you hit the brakes :-).
Jeep Liberty is the only recent diesel V6 "truck" I know of. Kinda sad really.
The only thing that stops a bad guy with a van is a good guy with a van
damn, i didnt know they were that big. almost 1 liter per cyl? thats insane
Imagine the piston cups!
When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.
