No more major work on car, fine tuning/repairs only (finish hood)

Attend HPDE at at least 2 diff't tracks
Sanity:
track time > mod/repair time and I'm going to count. if not, car=sold

Very hopeful for the US Grand Prix F1
ALMS

Car
I have a whole list of things I want to buy and install to (eventually) get the car where I want it to be. But immediate plans call for dampers and springs to lower the car, and repaint or polish the factory wheels.

Motorsport Participation
Continue attending and participating in as many auto-x'es as I can. Improve driving skills, throttle control, transitions, countering oversteer etc. Also, get out to a 1/4 mile strip at somepoint, perhaps MIR.

Motorsport Attendance
Make it to VIR for the first time in February. If I'm able to, I'd really like to attend One Lap of America's visit to VIR on May 8th, to spectate one stop of their weeklong cross-country event. Also, hopefully next summer I'll make it out to the Nurburgring for some F1 or 24hrs. action, or to just spectate a lapping day and see the track.

Good luck with that. There is no F1 USGP for '08.

Myself? At the very least, do the level 2 California Superbike School, and attend the Indy MotoGP round. And, I just found out that a good friend of Jess' from high school, who currently lives in Italy, has friends that live with a track view of Mugello. We've talked about another Italy trip- but that probably won't happen for a few years.

Do they go together?

For me it's...
-MotoGP in Laguna
-CA SBK Level 1
-3 Cup Weekends

I think that's a about it. Grad school is my main focus starting next year.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

I'll do whatever works with my budget and seems like fun... and that's about it.

My only resolution is to get the XR back on the track. A lot of stuff has to happen for this resolution to be a reality, but I'll spare you the details. I did not race once last year and it was a very unpleasant feeling ;-).

XR on Track = success.

my resolutions include hitting up different tracks i've never driven. the three most likely candidates are watkins glen, mid-ohio and barber motorsports park. my bro is moving to birmingham in june, so hopefully i can do barber sometime in the latter part of next year. i'd also like to visit road atlanta again and try not to die this time. and lastly, do as much karting as possible.

Get my Exige seats and harnesses installed in two weeks, and I'm back on track! Then I'll wait for somebody else to hit my Lotus (it's only a matter of time), then I'll pocket the money and probably buy a racecar.

No big races in the works for me this year since I have a wedding, honeymoon, and quite possibly a funeral to plan for this year.
