So...here's what I did on Monday.

I'll give you a hint:

But why was I there you might ask? To look at this:

I ended up leaving the house at 5:30 AM on Monday morning, and finally got back in a little after midnight...seventeen hours behind the wheel is a bit tiring!

Anyway, as some of you know, I've been looking for another Mustang for the last couple months...and it's been really hard to find one in my price range that can serve as a street car and occasional track car.

Here are the specs on this 1994 Mustang GT:

§ 5.0 Resto Smoked Headlights and Corners
□ Silverstar Bulbs
§ Cobra Emblem

Admittedly, it's a bit of a handful on really pitted and bad streets. However, it's pretty nice when you get it out on a smoother stretch of road. The car pulls with authority and the Baer brakes stop the car with just as much force. Even the stereo sounds pretty nice. The exhaust dumps are gonna take a bit of getting used to though, I've never had a car with those on there. :-)

I can't wait to get this car out to the track next year! Maybe I can finally make an event with you guys!

I'll get some better pictures of the car as soon as I go back out to Indy and bring it back.

Now I just have to figure out what the first thing I want to change is...

Thanks! Ever since I had a ride in Chad's car I've wanted a more track-oriented Mustang.

CaptainHenreh Wrote:Except for Bullitt pedal covers

It's a Mustang thing, it's the pedal covers that came stock on the 2001 Bullitt Mustangs and 03-04 Mach 1's and Cobras. They are a stainless steel looking pedal with little grippy surfaces on them. Here's a pic from PPI Inc.

I forgot to mention, the guy I'm buying the car from works at the speedway. I think he said he's a paid intern with parking operations. He's a pretty decent guy though, and he even offered to try and swing a tour of the facility or some passes to the museum they have there when I come back.

Anyway, while we didn't get to see too much of the main track...we did get to drive on a bit of the MotoGP surface. He also showed me where the bricks were...they extend for several hundred feet under the grandstands and outside of the facility.

I was hoping to get a picture of the bricks at the start finish line, but no luck. I also forgot to take my camera with me into the track, (stupid!) but hopefully the weather holds out when I go back so I can snap some better shots of the track itself.

They keep your feet from slipping off the pedals when heel-toeing, looks like a pretty well built car, congrats man! Glad I could sway you to high hp/rwd track cars, now open the wallet for tires/brakes lol Smile

Thanks for all the comments guys!

ScottyB, I don't believe there's any stock suspension left! Then again, with a Mustang that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I can't believe how much I like this car, before I found this car I was actually comtemplating buying a new Honda Fit and just finding some $500 beater to track.

Smarter, but nowhere near as fulfilling! Smile

I'm going to try to! I've only ever driven at Summit Point, do you guys ever go down to VIR as a group?

EDIT: I guess you do, I just clicked onto the events section and saw the VIR event in Feburary. I've always wanted to run the full course!

Yeah VIR is a haul from NOVA, but sure is a great road course. I got my only speeding ticket driving back from there.

I've been at the last 3 SVTOA events at Summit, but I've only drove in the last two. I also did a carguys event at Summit probably 3 years ago. I usually attend any big event at Summit, and I try to go to any NASA weekend I can have off.

I don't believe that we have met before, if we have I would've been there in the 2000 GT I used to own. I might have possibly emailed you when I had my old Del Sol and was considering tracking it.

Anyway, here's a pic of my old Mustang if you remember seeing it.
