Good body shops make bank man. A friend of mine in town works for his father's shop (Terry's Auto Body in Pville), and his dad basically bought him a house outside of Round Hill in a really ritzy community. I think he put down like $400k of the $850k+ price for him.

In retrospect, I kind of wish they had totalled it - but I also know these high-end body shops bleed insurance companies on paint and labor rates (the parts are expensive, but not that expensive).

So I picked up it Friday afternoon - looks great from the back, then walked to the front and saw that the body shop didn't do the work I paid them to do to convert the front end. I paid them back in August - somehow something got lost in the communication stream. I'm pretty pissed off, but have also found a few small issues that they need to address as well, so back up to LA the car goes.

On a positive note, I drove the car around a bit this weekend, and with the new suspension, the thing is a beast. Yay for Lotus Sport Ohlins...

Finally got the car back (again) last Friday after finding some flaws in the workmanship upon my initial receipt. At the time of the first pickup, the new alignment and suspension was nothing short of amazing - finally have a car with perfect bodywork as well. A few photos I took tonight in the garage...
