FS:1992 Toyota MR2 non-turbo + spares
#1
1992 Toyota MR2 Non-turbo
147K

Good:
Koni OTS shocks
TRD springs
TRD Front and Rear Strut Bars
TRD Front and Rear Sway Bars
Poly Bushings all around.
Extra set of Control arms with spherical bearings in the inner LCA's.
Full-Race Traction bars (Spherical/heim jointed radius rods with chassis brace)
Sparco Pro2k's seats
Piper Weld-in Roll bar
Momo 78 race steering wheel
G-Force six point harnesses
SSAC Header w/muffler off of a Mr2 Turbo. No Cat.
4 Kosei 15x7 K-1 wheels w/Hankook Rs-2's
4 stock 14 inchers w/BFG all-seasons
4 spare struts for my coilover project
4 KYB AGX's
91-92 Dual Piston Turbo Brake Calipers
A set of fresh Carbotech XP-8's front and rear
A set of 80% fresh Axxis Ultimates
A set of 90% stock brake pads
Technafit SS brake lines
Spare set of Stoptech SS front brake lines
2 spare transmissions.
A set of new synchros
A spare engine (5sfe) with all of the sensors/injectors/alt/starter/manifold intact.
3/4th gear hub/shift fork
All new Toyota Trans bearings
TRD Clutch Type LSD
1 Bailey's hitch for a tire trailer. It can be removed with 3 bolts so you're only carrying a 5 pound plate on track.
All scheduled maintenance has been done.
AC/Heater works. Premium 8 speaker system is still intact with a Pioneer DEH-4700 Headunit. I can drive comfortably to VIR in Feb.

Bad:
The paint is horrid but I'll buff it out before I sell it
The right rear Koni degassed but I'll have Koni rebuild it for the new owner
Front driver side fender met VIR's tirewall. I rattlecanned it and there's no rust.
Fifth gear pops out hence the 2 spare trans and the parts to rebuild it.

I'm selling it because I need to get a track car with a trunk so I can carry race tires/tools/miscellaneous junk + my wife who is going to be doing some trackdays next year.

Price 7.5K for all of it.

Once the MR2 is sold, I think I'm going to get an E30. Joan and I want to move into a city so I need a track car that no one in their right mind would steal.

:evileye: pssssh whatever. E36 has no use. You want a cheap track or street BMW, E30 all the way, it is more reliable and easier to work on, no question. You want a heavier, nicer, more expensive track or street BMW, E46 all the way. They too are more reliable and prices are way down now that they've been replaced by the Bangle "hotness". *choke* All E36's should be sold for scrap. Ok, the E36M3 still has SOME niche if you want reasonably priced speed.

Andy, is the check in the mail or what?!

Start with Chan's 318, then when the power bug hits you Rex can help you swap in a turbo M50! I bet you'd STILL have money to spare from the sale of your MR2.

damn you're evil! Besides, your statement doesn't make sense.

Andy, I'm pumped... let me know what questions you have. Are you planning on buying something already partially prepped? I think I know of one for sale near one of my job sites- I'll look into it more.

Some niche for delicious, smooth speed that is more comfortable than an E30 M3, more reliable than an E30 M3 and cheaper than an E46 M3.

If anyone is interested, I'd be willing to pull stuff off the car to lower the sale price. I'm not going to part the thing out.

E46 are reliable? I've thrown around an E46 M3 as a next car because they come in 'verts, but they are noticeably more ugly as convertibles so I dunno if it's gonna happen. And they're slower than Corvettes which is another big negative.
