If you had comprehensive/collision coverage, they'll cover you if you dump it.
They'll also cover you gear... oh wait
I carry full coverage on my shit - its not that much more $$, but my bike insurance is really cheap.

Yeah... only thing I was going to say, and I know Paul knows I was going to say this, but insure your shit if you have a nice bike. You really are opening yourself up to a significant write-off if you don't and if you can't work to pay the bills it's doubley-difficult.

Full coverage for you old donkey's is a lot cheaper than for us young bucks under 25
but I whole heartily agree about full coverage insurance.

Then don't buy a newish RR!
FWIW, I didn't have a bike until I was 25 but my car insurance only went down $25 when I turned 25. The equipment plays a much bigger role than age does when you're over 21.

If i remember correctly full coverage for me was about $140+ a month - this is with a 1 at fault accident/ticket - although my ins. company says im at fault for 2 (not, red hatchcrap accident)...
ps. wasnt a new RR, it was used. I ended up paying about $1500 out of pocket to pay off the loan after i sold the bike to someone who was gonna fix it.
the motor shifteed, sooo i think i got a decent amount of money for that wrecked POS.

Gotta shop around... I got rates all over the place when I switched last year. I went with state farm ($230/year for the bike). I've also moved my car and renters insurance with them too, and fuck gecko.
