It actually might be more expensive than that. Undergrad up here is some where around $33k, but grad school is more expensive. I don't remember what the engineering school tuition is, but I know the business school is somewhere around $43k a year. I wouldn't be surprised if GW does the same thing.

I didn't have a chance to read the whole article, but are they trying to say that $37K is the most expensive tuition in the country? I have to call BS on that. When I was looking at schools BU was $35K and that was 6 years ago. I have to friends at grad school @ Georgetown and they said it was closer to $50k

Psst - Reed, you're mixing Evan's post and Hunter's. Read the article Wink

Article Wrote:According to data from The Chronicle of Higher Education, which tracks college costs, the 10 most expensive schools in the country, led by George Washington University in Washington, D.C., averaged a tuition rise of 52% from 1999 to 2006--nearly triple the 21% rise in the U.S. cost of living during the same period. George Washington's $37,820 tuition is 82% of the entire median annual family income of $46,326.

You're also mixing tuition and cost of attendance which include room and board. The article and discussion are focused at tuition-only costs.
When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.

Luckily my company IS paying for it....as long as I make B's or better. If I don't each course is 2500$. My friend who goes to GW who is paying for his out of pocket talks like he's spent over 40 grand so far.

I'm going in mathematics. Whether that becomes applied math and I deal with more real life applications or pure math and I simply do research I'm not really sure, but you certainly don't have to do something with computers to get into grad school.

Good luck feersty! I'm taking the Math subject test on the 6th, god help me :wink:

Ah, we'll I'm pretty sure you can do so as well. I think a whole hell of a lot of it depends on the school.

For example, before a week ago i had never heard of being accepted to a math graduate program w/o taking both the GRE general exam and math subject test. Then I started looking at a few more colleges that were suggested to me and found a few places where all you need is the general.

I guess what I'm saying is I think the standards for admissions really depend on the school.

The good news is the program I applied to doesn't require GREs. The bad news is if you're in a position to need them, they turn you away at the onset.

EMIS... it's an MS in Information Systems Technology but an accelerated 15 month format limited to 21 students/year. Class doesn't start until Sept '08 so I have some time to live free before life gets hard.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.msist.gwu.edu/programs/emis.asp">http://www.msist.gwu.edu/programs/emis.asp</a><!-- m -->

I get an "official" answer from my employer this week but all indications are that I'll be 100% covered.
