I had my cellphone stolen today. I was walking back from the bank with my phone in my backpack side pocket and a girl I noticed that had been walking VERY close to me probably took it.

I had over 700 dollars on me from the bank that I made sure I still had, but I forgot to check for my cell phone. For some reason, if the phone is in my pants pocket it will shock/burn the hell out of me if it recieves a message or call. Thats why I carried it in my backpack pocket.

Anyways the phone has been cancelled, and I need to get to the local Verizon Wireless store to buy/activate a new one. Its super important that I do so cause I am flying/taking the metro around DC and need to call family constantly as I'm on the move in airports.

If someone still in Harrisonburg can give me a ride to this address tomorrow

I would greatly appreciate it. This fucking sucks I was so pissed, I immediately got on facebook when I noticed it was stolen to look for where this bitch lives. She was walking towards the lakeside dorms, I got a decent look at her but my first dorm search revealed 7 girls that looked just like her:evil: I hope karma kills this bitch, slowly and painfully

I'm thinking maybe she did you a favor.

Were you eligible for an upgrade at least?

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

And it doesn't make a damn bit of sense to get a car when everywhere I need to go is in closer walking distance than it would take to walk to my car from where I live. So judge me all you want, but you've never met me and vice versa so I don't really care

Yeah I know....no big deal really...I called Verizon and had the phone suspended. It was a free phone so its virtually worthless by itself I imagine. Verizon told me I have been eligible for an upgrade for months, so perhaps I will be able to get a much nicer phone for a good price.

It just really sucked cause today, at that time, having my phone stolen was the worst possible thing that could've happened.

I'm sure if she punched you in the balls and then pushed you out in front of a bus, that would have been worse.

There is a Verizon store in Circuit City. I am going over there around 10 in the morning. I could take you then.

that sucks man Sad

the worst thing about losing your phone is losing the numbers. i recommend just getting a new phone trying to get back as many numbers as you can, and back-up your phone numbers using Verizon's online phonebook back-up tool/software "Backup Assistant". You can find it in the Verizon Interface under Get It Now --> Get Going.

I have a USB cable for my phones and use the phone specific backup software, I try and back it up every month. Does you have to pay for the Verizon number backup? I've never seen it (try not to hit the 'Get it Now' button).

it's $2/mo - worth it to me and easy to do and i think it's also backed up either automatically or at your decision (i need to verify this)

If you use the online billing with Verizon that backup service is free.
