How so? I dont buy *that* much crap.

BS. Every time you finish a project you buy another one. You're also constantly seem to be rotating gear depsite having like 2-3 of each piece.

You bought a new seat before you even bought your 2nd bike... I have enough gear to cover for conditions. Seems assinine perhaps, but its important to me since I ride most every day (and no, thats not a pot shot on you - just my rationale).

We all buy stupid crap.

I'm actually with RJ on this one, it's kind of hard to own too much gear. I think I've got 4 or 5 pairs of gloves, 4 helmets (not including the ones I've crashed) most of which aren't my size, rain suit, 1pc suit, multiple jackets, multiple boots, etc.

Gear is a good investment, especially variations of the same gear. I've always got something for the weather outside and spares for passengers. Plus, gear lasts a long time so it's not like it's a horrible investment.

Also, A* and Joe Rocket gear is 'meh' in my book, even tho my boy Hop-off Hopkins wears their gear exclusively.

For reference, I dont even think I have *alot* of gear. 2 helmets (one of them is a cheap spare/backup), 3 pair of gloves (the A* are going in the trashcan), leather/textile/mesh jackets, textile/mesh pants (usage is obvious here), 1pc track suit and 1 pair of boots. I'm about to add another pair of "street" boots to the mix that I can wear for running around and wear into the office. I cant really see needing more gear than that, I think I'm adequately covered - nothing is really redundant.

You know you're in trouble when you're on par with Paul.

My only point is that every month there's something new you "really want" that's all.

Take a step back, evaluate and stop rearranging your fucking furniture.

You are the biggest proponent I know of buying new, nice things... I make good money, no reason not to spend some of it on toys.

Nice things... not just more things!

Back on topic: I wore my JR Phoenix mesh gloves today 'cause I didn't feel like messing with the Helds and my hands were fucking cold... so yes, purpose-built gear = good.
