Shoutbox/Chat

ever thought about implementing a shoutbox, or preferably a chatroom on the forum page? Some other forums I have, and it really cuts down on the OT shit in threads...or the quick back and forths that seem to take place here. I'm not talking about the kind that take a full page refresh to post either - just type your shit, hit enter, and it shows up. There are a bunch of Ajax implementations. Just a thought

And I'm sure there are legitimate uses as well.

btw, we have this running on another forum - and that hosting is like 11$ a month, and it seems to work just fine.

you'd be surprised. I ran an AJAX chat on mine and it was pretty taxing on the webserver.
