Yesterday it was announced that Aston Martin was sold to a consortium of investors led by David Richards of Prodrive. The current CEO of AM will stay on but DR will be something like the Executive Chairman of the company.

I honestly can't think of someone better to lead Aston Martin than ol' David Richards. He and Prodrive have been successful in just about every motorsports project they've ever taken on from Subaru in WRC to revamping BAR Honda in Formula 1. They've done a pretty good job with the Aston Martin DBR9 program too, although they haven't won a title or Le Mans with it yet.
I wonder if Prodrive's F1 team is going to be branded Aston Martin now? I'm guessing maybe not now, but in the future es posiblè.
