So much for your assumption that Holiday Inn's are franchised and all well run establishments.

you're not even making any sense now. I made zero assumptions. Actually, I said the franchised ones were the shittiest ones. Unless I mis-typed, but I'll let you check and see about that part.

I should have said "chain" instead of "franchised". My bad.

But you did say Holiday Inn doesnt suck and the Express version does.

HAULN-SS Wrote:I've stayed at some uber nice holiday inns before. The actual chain ones are a lot better than the express versions which are independently owned I think

No, I typed holiday inn because I meant holiday inn.

I'll take a picture if you want.

pishhh.... wet weight doesn't count. Although with me and the wife I guess 900lbs isn't out of the question.

That doesn't bring up an important concern. Does the rear suspension have enough travel not to bottom out (unlike the Sportster 883)? Hmm...

Yeah but I've been working out so watch out 900... here I come!

This is what concerns me...

The Aero is a nice enough motorcycle, though my 220 pounds overwhelm the suspension on a bumpy road.

What chance does 350 have?

This is a legit concern and a new excuse. The Sportster was decent until we got to a bad part of road and it started bottoming out. Uncomfortable on long rides is one thing but actually hitting rock bottom is a whole 'nother ball game. I really question the reviews though 'cause these people are used to cruisers and what seems harsh to them may be like a couch to sportbikers.

The rear travel on the SV is ~5.4" and I haven't touch the preload on it (yeah yeah... whatever). The Aero is 3.5" and it has a 5-pos preload so maybe it'll work? Although travel is travel and preloading the spring isn't going to make it resist the total weight any. I guess we'll actually have to sit on one.

Now you're getting into a whole new ballgame. That requires work (read: money) and I'm lazy.
