Right because Ford has got FWD V8's coming out the wazoo. IF you get such a thing as a "SHO Taurus" it'll have that little FoMoco/Mazda 3.5 liter.

It would not be unfeasable to make a V8 AWD Taurus. The 500 already comes with AWD and a large V6. I doubt it would be much work to put the 4.4L Yahama V8 from the Volvo XC90 under its hood. Either that or the TT Duratech V6 Ford showcased earlier this year.

does the 500 come in a manual? it would suck to be only able to get an SHO in auto.

if that recipe ever came together it would probably weigh over 4000 pounds.

Regardless, the market is all about rwd v8 sedans. FWD V8 would sink faster than anything else Ford has on the market. I would think an AWD V8 Taurus would sell.

I just dont see the point of ford bringing out an AWD SHO. I would understand RWD to compete with Pontiac's new G8, that is CONFIRMED! WAHOO! for 2008. The Taurus comes in at about 3500, add v8, put it only to like 3600, plus awd, 3800-3900lbs...conservatively... Who would buy it? No one I know, except Adam. People love huge v8 sedans with rwd...its just the way it is...fwd would fail miserably, and awd, I just dont see it happening.

I would rather have an AWD SHO putting out 350-400hp than a RWD G8 car putting out 360hp and I think a lot of other people would as well. You of all people should like AWD DJ 8) I would imagine the SHO would be around 3800-3900lbs (Ford 500 AWD V6 Automatic, Limited Edition is 3815lbs), but other larger luxury performance sedans are just as heavy (BMW M5 = 4012lbs, Mercedes E350 = 3820lbs)

IMO, The best engine that Ford could put in the theoretical SHO would be the Twin-Turbo Direct-Injection 3.5l V6 they showed in the Lincoln MKR concept this year. Should put out around 400hp Tongue

lol..... I want a RWD sedan for burning out, im too used to awd, no burnouts. The problem is I dont see a Ford Taurus competing with an M5, or even M3 or E55 or even C32 AMG. It just wont come out on top, because face it Adam, Ford sucks now more than ever....you really think they are gonna do it?

Fuck man, I love my eclipse GSX, but im realistic, they aint ever gonna produce it again, stupid motherfuckers....And even if they try it, itll end up overweight, underpowered, and shitty suspension, and probably throw some stupid engine in there.
