thats a really nice intercooler setup! i have to say i thought it wouldn't look that good.

are you going to mold the duct in flush with the hood or leave it as is and paint it?

i really hope this is one of the few projects you do that actually comes to an eventual close because it's really too cool to just leave in a perpetual state of projectdum

My God that thing is going to be pure evil... I LOVE IT! This is my favorite of your 10 billion projects by far. What happened to the plate "FRE CNDY" tho?!?!

Ew, one thing I was thinking about though... you're gonna get hella high intake temps from that intake. Have you thought about fabbing up a quick heat shield to block it off from the engine right next to it?

Considering his entire intake manifold sits inches away from his exhaust manifold, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess it's not a priority.

The intake manifold is right above the exhaust (non-crossflow head) so there is not much worry about filter location on these cars. I mean colder air is better, but itÔÇÖs as hard to route the filter to a colder location as it is to do a front mount and still keep the A/C. I am however planning to build a series of heat and water channeling shields to help keep the engine bay dry and the heat away from the intake and intercooler. Right now my biggest problem is a boost leak I canÔÇÖt seem to find. I have hoses blow off all the time, but there is one leak that no matter what clamp I replace of what problem I fix I canÔÇÖt seem to find. The pressure drop on something like this wouldnÔÇÖt be 3-4psi at WOT would it?

On a side note: As far as me having to many projects, the ÔÇ£Brown wagonÔÇØ project has been cancelled as it will be going on to serve as a daily driver for a friend in need of a car.
-
The ÔÇ£coming soonÔÇØ list-
1- Fix rust and primer over hood and fixed places (to put off painting until summer)
2- Tint that rear window
3- Paint wheels
4- Upgrade to Garrett T3 and Manual boost control
5- Replace headliner

you could always run an airline through a tennis ball and jam the ball into the piping -- pump up the air and listen for leaks.

if you're losing 3-4 psi at redline, no big deal, but WOT yeah that's not right

I can get the valve stem when I go back to the garage next. I just replaced all my clamps with T-bolts and that has seemed to help. I'm starting to think that the leak is in the BOV. Does anyone here no how to adjust a BOV? I know you can adjust them, is there a point where they are to loose and bleed off boost?

Turbo is a Mitsubishi TEO4H

hmm big enough that that shouldnt be a problem. What kind of bov is it? they can leak, especially if you have a shitty type-s or type-rs. With the boost leak tester youll be able to tell.
